Biotic (www.biotic.co.in) is a company specialized in bio-medical waste management, providing services to 11,000+ healthcare facilities in India. The company currently operates 5 bio-medical waste facilities and is planning to expand its operations across the country to meet the demand. Biotic has formed a partnership with IVL and Heatnet Global with the task to design and install an energy recovery solution in a facility located in Delhi. Funding has been secured, and the focus is now on scanning the market for reference cases and delivery partners. Installation will begin in 2025. Recovering energy from industrial waste heat requires the combination of a broad range of technologies, which can make design, installation, and operations complicated and costly. To unlock this potential, there is a need for a more simple and straightforward approach.
